About
Clinical research is an important part in patient care. You can gain access to new drugs and therapies, and help our researchers discover the treatments of tomorrow.
Anyone can participate in clinical research. Whether you are completely healthy or living with a specific disease or condition, there may be a study out there waiting just for you.
Participation in clinical research is completely voluntary. Each study at the University of Iowa is reviewed by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) to protect the rights, safety, and welfare of participants.
The Iowa community has a tradition of participating in studies to improve the health of Iowans and the world. Learn how you can make a difference.
